Admission procedure
In Tamil Nadu Admission to medical colleges will be done through a national examination of NEET UG exam. NTA organizes the NEET national level examination to offer admission in medical and dental colleges in India. On the basis of NEET score, candidates will get admission to the MBBS & BDS courses. For admission to MBBS at AIIMS institutions, no separate entrance exam will be held at the state level and the admissions will only be conducted on the basis of NEET scores. Students can opt out of the NEET UG exam to get entry into MBBS & BDS courses. Many colleges offer admission to PG medical courses through NEET PG scores.
Tamil Nadu MBBS/ BDS Admission 2022
Candidates who meet all the qualifications given below will only be considered for admission. Without completing these qualifications, candidates will not be allowed to fill out an application form.
Eligibility
⇒ The candidate must be of Indian national and OCI candidates are also allowed to apply.
⇒ The minimum age must be 17 years as of 31st December in the year of admission and the maximum age is 25 years and 30 years for SC/ST candidates to apply to NEET. Applicants must pass a 12th or equivalent grade in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from any recognized board
⇒ The candidate must obtain a minimum mark of 50% (40% savings for the nominees of the category) in the appropriate exam.
⇒ 12th appearing candidates can also apply.

Tamil Nadu NEET counseling 2022
The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu will conduct Tamil Nadu MBBS 2022 counseling in offline mode on the basis of NEET 2022. With Tamil Nadu MBBS / BDS counseling, 8,000 MBBS seats and 2,873 BDS seats will be provided in the state. DME will run the Tamil Nadu MBBS 2022 consultation with 85% seats under the state budget and 100% seats in self-financing colleges in Tamil Nadu. Applicants who will be included in the eligibility list for Tamil Nadu NEET 2022 will be invited for advice. Students will be required to collect call letters and report on Tamil Nadu MBBS 2022 counseling per schedule.
Counseling will be done in online mode. Candidates will be required to register once on the website for a registration fee. After registration, candidates will have to fill out an application form and upload a signature and photo.
Candidates will be required to complete a college counseling process by confirming their choices of colleges. These seats will be allocated to those who qualify in terms of their number and availability of seats. Candidates must also verify their documents as without them no people will be offered seats.
Candidates will be able to evaluate their seat allocation results on the website. Counseling rounds will depend on the availability of seats at participating colleges. The responsible authority will display a list of state eligibility list on their website. The result will be published on the website of the candidates for the seats. Candidates will not be allowed to edit their documents before further counseling. Without document confirmation, candidates will not be allowed to stay in counseling.
