Assam MBBS NEET Counselling 2022: Important Dates, Registration, Seat Allotment Process
Assam NEET 2022 counseling dates will be announced shortly after the announcement of the NEET results. The registration process for the Assam NEET 2022 counseling will begin in the second week of November (tentatively) and candidates will be able to register themselves online. Assam NEET counseling will be conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Guwahati, Government of Assam.
Assam NEET Counseling 2022 will be done offline and will have two rounds. However, the registration process for the Assam NEET 2022 counseling will be conducted online. Candidates who wish to participate in Assam NEET 2022 counseling will be required to register on the official Assam DME website and complete the registration form. Assam NEET 2022 counseling will be held at the office of the Director of Medical Education, Assam, Guwahati.

Assam NEET Counselling 2022: Eligibility Criteria
When completing the NEET 2022 application form the candidate must indicate whether he or she wants to participate in state quota counseling. DME Guwahati will prepare a list of candidates who are eligible to participate in the counseling of Assam NEET 2022. This list will be posted on the official DME website. Only those named in this regard will be eligible to participate in the counseling of Assam NEET 2022.
⇒They must be a permanent resident of assam, as defined in Sec 6 of the Constitution
⇒They must have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised institute with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as core subjects
⇒They must have attained the age of 17 as on December 31, 2022
⇒They must have qualified NEET 2022 by scoring more than or equal to the cutoff marks
Registration:
Candidates who wish to participate in the counseling of Assam NEET 2022 must register on the official DME website. The registration process will be online. To complete the registration process, a candidate needs to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 500 (regardless of category).
State Merit List:
DME will prepare a list of eligible students enrolled for Assam NEET 2022 counseling. This merit list will be prepared based on the marks / standards obtained in NEET 2022. In addition to the full list of skills, the state will also prepare a separate list of eligibility for each category. Seats reserved for a particular category of candidates will be filled on the basis of the appropriate list.
Schedule for Counselling:
The DME will then release the Assam NEET 2022 counseling schedule. The counseling will be conducted on separate dates for the nominees of the different categories. The seats left vacant after the first round of counseling will be closed in the second round.

To attend the Assam NEET 2022 counseling the candidate must report to the office of the Director of Medical Education, Assam, six miles, Khanapara, Guwahati-22. He or she must carry the documents listed below, the original copy and a certified copy, to the counseling center.
