AILET Exam 2022: AIL LET is a University Level Entrance exam for law students conducted by Army Institute of Law, Mohali as a Law entrance test for 5-year Bachelor in Arts with Bachelor in Legislative Law (BA LLB) in Army Institute of Law. AIL LET Entrance 2022 is conducted once in every year for the admissions in LLB in Arts speciality. AIL LET is a part of AILET Entrance Test conducted on the behalf of Army Institute of Law, Punjab conducted in online MCQ mode for admissions in BA LLB Course for 75 seats of army personals, 20 for Punjab civil, and 05 for Indian citizens makes a total of 100 seats in AILET.

AIL LET Entrance 2022 registration ended on 17 May 2022. Admit cards are scheduled to be uploaded by 13 June 2022.However Applications are still open with late fee entry till 23 Mar 2022.The examination for AILET 2022 is conducted for those aspirants who are looking forward to taking admission in law programs of various National Law University campuses all over India. All the qualified candidates of this examination will get admission in LL.M, B.A.LL.B. Only successfully registered candidates will be issued admit cards to appear for AILET 2022. It will mention details of exam and allotted test centre.

26-Jun-2022 (10 am - 11.30 am)

The law entrance exam will be held across 24 test cities in India. It will be a pen-paper based test for duration of 1 hour 30 minutes.

Answer key

26-Jun-2020 to 27-Jun-2020 (tentative)

NLU Delhi will upload question paper and answer key of AILET 2022 on its website. Candidates can download the answer key to check their responses, and submit their grievances on it (if any)

Result for BA LLB (Hons) and LLM

July 2022

After verification of answer key grievances, NLU Delhi will declare the results of AILET 2022. It will issue scorecards to the candidates, along with category-wise merit list.


July 2022

Candidates qualifying the entrance exam will appear for online counselling by NLU Delhi for seat allotment process.

AILET 2022 Application Form

Before applying for the AILET 2022 examination or before filling up the form a candidate or interested aspirant must know the basic and important information about the AILET Application Form 2022:
1. The application form for AILET 2022 will be made available for the highly eligible candidates only.
2. The registration process for AILET 2022 examination will be started from the last week of January 2022. It will be done through online mode.
3. Candidates will have to fill all their details carefully in the application form.
4. Candidates must fill all the authentic details with their 10th marksheet, if information needs any kind of alteration then, it could cause rejection of candidate’s application form.
5. Candidates must take care of the last submission date for the form. As it could lead to rejection if submitted late.
6. The last date for the students to submit the application form will began in last week of May 2022.
7. All the candidates are highly advised to keep the printout of their filled application from and their paid fee receipt for their future references.

AILET Exam 2022 Eligibility Criteria:

There are some eligibility criteria for applying for the AILET 2022. Before applying for this exam a candidate must know about all the basic eligibility criteria. He\she must take care of this: For B.A.LL.B. (Hons.):
1. All the applying Candidates must have passed their 10+2 intermediate or equivalent examination from any kind of recognized educational board.
2. All the Applying candidates must have scored at least 45% marks in their 10+2 (40% is accepted in case of SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities) to be eligible for B.A.LL.B. (Hons.).
3. Candidates who are still appearing in the final examination of 10+2 or its equivalent can also easily apply for AILET 2022.
For LL.M.:
1. All the applying Candidates must have LLB or its equivalent law degree from any recognized board.
2. Candidates should have scored at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disabilities).
3. Candidates who are still appearing for the final year of required examination in 2022 are also eligible to apply.
For Ph.D. Program:
1. All the applying Candidates must have passed LLM or its equivalent degree to be eligible for taking admission.
2. Applying candidates must have scored minimum 55% marks (50% is accepted in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disabilities).

AILET 2022 Exam Pattern

For B.A.LL.B. (Hons.):
1. The examination B.A LL.B Hons. will be regulated through offline mode only.
2. There will be 150 questions in total present in the question paper with 150 Marks.
3. All the candidates will be provided 1 hour 30 minutes for solving the whole question paper.
4. The Question paper will be consisting of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) for the students.
5. Candidates will have to solve the question paper in English language only.
6. On giving each correct answer students will be given 1 mark and on every wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted.
7. There will be 4 sections present in the question paper as General Knowledge, English, Logical Reasoning, Basic Mathematics, and Legal Aptitude in question paper.

AILET 2022 Syllabus for LLM Course

The new syllabus for AILET LLM 2022 entrance exam is as under:

The question paper will have eight to ten questions from different branches of law.

1. There will be 150 questions in total present in the question paper with 150 Marks.
2. Every candidate will be provided 1 hour 30 minutes for solving the whole question paper.

4. 1 mark will be given to students on every correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted on every wrong answer.

AILET Syllabus

The syllabus for both under graduation and post graduation courses will be different. under graduation syllabus will consisting of several topics from General Knowledge, English, Basic Mathematics, Legal Aptitude section, and Logical Reasoning. The Syllabus of post graduation Exam will be consisting of all major subjects of law including Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Jurisprudence, Law of Contract, Law of Tort and International Law, etc.
